Our Autumn 2 text is Shackleton’s Journey.
Can you find out who Ernest Shackleton was? Why is he famous?
Haleema and Eyman have been practising their DT skills at home, creating clothing for toys. Take a look! 🙂
Remember, you are free to pick your next library book as soon as you’ve finished your current one.
Year 6 spent time today carefully analysing an extract from The Explorer. The more we break it down, the better we understand!
To kick off our topic- Global Families- we created artwork based on the Spirit of the Rainforest by John Dyer and Nixiwaka Yawanawa.
Our text for the Autumn term is The Explorer by Katherine Rundell.
Why not borrow it from your local library?
Hi everyone,
Just some notices:
Year 6 PE is on a Tuesday. On this day, children can come to school in PE kits as normal. Water bottles are essential.
The first piece of homework has been set on Google Classroom (a piece for maths and a piece for literacy). This will be set and due in every Tuesday. Children have been given their login information.
Year 6 children are permitted to walk home unaccompanied with parental permission. If you would like your child to do this, please email enquiry@robinhoodacademy.co.uk or send a note in to me. This also applies if anyone other than a parent/named contact will be collecting a child at the end of the day.
Any questions, please let me know!
Miss M 🙂
A very talented member of 6AM has received an award in dance! A massive well done!
Hi everyone!
It’s been wonderful meeting and getting to know everybody over the past couple of weeks. I hope everyone is enjoying being back at school as much as I am!
